GLWF 2024

GLWF - GreenLight WorldFlight, an air pollution survey since 2012, is alive and active.

The Middle East conflict created an unpredictable situation where rocket attacks can easily hit even a light aircraft, which can actually be mistaken for a military drone.

As much as the overflight window via Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Emirates has closed for light aircraft. Alternatives via the Indian Ocean are possible, but long and very expensive, and Sudan is currently also an area to avoid due to military conflicts.

This year's autumn goal is therefore the Mediterranean, which has become, due to global warming, an extremely interesting area for measurements of the atmospheric load with solid particles.
